UPDATE 11/8/2015 8:52am
Noah is going into surgery this morning so they can install the component to start dialysis. The blood fusion helped but it hasn't fixed the problem. He has HUS which is a syndrome caused from the E. coli and mostly occurs in children. Pray hard everyone
UPDATE 11/7/2015 5:55pm
Here is the latest update on Noah's condition. His blood work has continued to get worse today so the doctors put in a pic line earlier today and are planning on doing a blood transfusion tonight. His red blood cells and platelets are being killed off by the bacteria so the hope is to replace his blood with healthy cells to fight off the bacteria. That's all I have for now. I will give you another update when I have one. Please Keep praying for sweet little Noah and his family!
Meet Noah he is six years old born on June 11, 2009 he is currently a first grader . Noah was infected with E. coli this is a form of bacteria that is spread through fecal matter in the water we drink or the food we eat. Noah was hospitalized at St . Mary's on October 31, 2015 and tested positive for E. coli . Since then he has developed a more severe complication of this bacteria called HUS (Hemolytic Uremic Syndromes) Noah was showing signs of kidney failure. Early day November 6, 2015 due to the severity of his condition he was transferred via flight care to UC Davis. As of late night November 6, 2015 Noah is being closely monitored through his blood and vitals if his condition worsens he will need to have a blood transfusion or possibly dialysis. Noah has also developed a secondary bacteria called Aeromonas Hydrophilla this will be treated with antibiotics. As we all know medical care can be extremely expensive. A typical cost for airflight can cost anywhere from $12-$25,000 and on average a stay of a five day. At a hospital can cost up to $10,000 this figure does not include any major procedures. Please join us to help raise money for Noah and his family. Every little amount will help Noah and his family overcome this difficult time. Please keep Noah in your thoughts and prayers and in advance thank you for all your help and support.
