FIGHT FOR FRANCIS
THE LIFE OF FRANCIS, his story:
Francis's childhood at the young age of 10 changed tragically when our mom suffered a brain aneurysm, almost lost her life which left her paralyzed and now bedridden. My brother Francis, father (Frank) and I have struggled financially and emotionally. Francis had to grow up fast, he didn't enjoy life like other kids his age. He went to school and had to come straight home to help our dad care for our mom. Because of my family (3 little boys and my husband), I would help care for my mom from time to time. Francis had to learn how to feed and make sure my mom was comfortable. My mom was scared to be left alone so he had to sit by her side for hours at a time and sometimes I would find him sleeping in a chair. About 3 weeks ago, our dad was admitted in the hospital for a serious illness which was difficult for us because both of them now needed care. Our Father was released from the hospital, but continued medical care is still needed for both of them.
Francis is a young intelligent and energetic individual who has a passion for theatre. When time permits, he joins his theatrical family doing what he loves the most..... performing!
A week ago he had an unfortunate accident which caused him to hit his head. Francis did not let anyone know about his injury until he started to have severe headaches a few days later which led him to the hospital. They ran an MRI and discovered he had an aneurysm and a mass in his brain. He was immediately admitted to ICU because of the bleeding and testing of the mass. He then had to be transported via ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital in LA which is 2 and a half hours away from our home in Bakersfield, Ca. There, he underwent a craniotomy to remove the mass and stop the bleeding in his brain. During recovery Francis began hemmoraghing which caused his stroke, he was then rushed back into an emergency surgery to stop the hemmoraging. At this point, we are making all efforts to help him in his road to recovery.
Our faith has kept us strong - your prayers has kept us going and your continued support and encouragement gives us the strength to keep fighting!!! Although there is still more to be done.......we ask for your continued support and prayers to allow us to overcome the many obstacles we encountered and will continue to endure during this process - the payments needed to take care of the expenses have become astronomical. We humbly ask for any assistance that you may be able to give to assist us with our fight for Francis!!
