Stevie's Fragile X, Egg Saving Fund

Hello my name is Stevie-lee Ryan I am 26 years old and live in Melbourne. I am a carrier of Fragile X Syndrome which is a genetic condition causing intellectual disability, behavioural and learning challenges and various physical characteristics. For me this means that I have a 50/50% chance of having a baby with the disability depending on what X chromosone i pass on to my child. Falling pregnant naturally is not recommended as the chance of passing on the fragile X chromosone is 50%. Being a carrier of Fragile X also comes with symptoms one of those symptoms is early menapause which i have recently found out that I am going through which is devestating as I have always wanted to have my own little bundle of joy since I was young. I have to get my eggs frozen as soon as possible, this is not your usual menapause so the doctors can not predict how long or quick the menapause will go. Getting the results back that I am going through early menapause at 26 has taken it's toll on me and causes so must heart ache to me and my family and friends. I have been to see IVF doctors and the price to get my eggs frozen has got me in disbelief. I have been brought up in a world where if you want something you work for it so this is unbelievably hard for me to do, but I have no other option than to ask for some support to help with this. There is a long process behind getting my eggs frozen and a big cost involved. I have to inject myself with the medication for 2 weeks then I go in for the operation. The doctors can not tell me how many eggs they will be able to collect as I am producing such a low number now, then I have to pay to keep my eggs frozen, pay to have my eggs tested and pay to have them put back inside me to get pregnant when the time is right.
