Raising money to keep my home after car accident
Donation protected
I have found myself in a horrible situation. I was in a bad place emotionally, mentally, and financially and got in a car wreck that nearly ended your life last February. I ran head into someone else on a local highway in the Pine Barrens. The accident was horrific. My entire front end crushed into the front seat - and the car caught fire. I had to be pulled out of the car as it was catching flames. I had to be life flighted from the scene of the accident to Cooper Trauma Center. Thanks to the heroics of community members, Indian Mills Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the Cooper Trauma team and the grace of God i was saved. I suffered multiple strokes, a broken mandible, multiple fractures in my right arm, both legs, both hips, and ribs. After six months of critical and acute care at Cooper and physical rehab care centers, i finally got to go home relying
first on a wheelchair, then a walker, and then finally a cane. Unfortunately, infection set into one of my legs and i was in the hospital again with multiple surgeries to get rid of the infection. I'll soon be released from Cooper but I'll be having to learn to get around again, first in a wheel chair, then a walker, and then a cane. On February 6th, it will be a year since you were life flighted into Cooper. There has been an outpouring of care, prayers, and help but i lie awake at night worried that i wasnt bringing income in. You are 12 months behind in your lot payment for a trailer i own ($8,000) and behind on utility payments (gas and electric). While i am hopeful that I'll qualify for disability at some point soon, that won't allow me to catch up. I fear i may have to claim bankruptcy and start all over again when i am still fighting so hard
to heal. I am forever grateful for the second chance i was given in surviving the accident, and realize that there must be a purpose in my survival. If folks might consider helping me clear the bills that have become past due so i can focus on healing and fulfilling my purpose i will be forever grateful, and pay it forward.
