Immigration Fees

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
-Emma Lazarus
Hello, my name is Viviana, and I am a DACA recipient of 10 years. I am 30 years old and have been in the United States since I was 5 years of age. I am a wife, a mother to two wonderful little boys, and a dog mom to a 1 year old pup and a 10 year old senior dog. I am also a full-time college student pursuing a Bachelors of Science at Fisk University.
My husband was a permanent resident for 24 years, and within the last week became a U.S. Citizen. Because of the ever changing immigration laws with every president that comes along, my husband having citizenship now gives us a GREAT peace of mind. But now it's MY turn to file for legal status.
Because this is a very long, expensive and time-consuming process, I need your help! Although it's very very hard for me to ask for help, I want to be realistic in the fact that it is A LOT of money in a short period of time. And I'd rather this process be started, and my adjustment of status paperwork be submitted to USCIS before the next presidential election and before states continue challenging the validity of DACA. Because if DACA is canceled or advanced parole is cancelled again (like it was during the Trump administration), it'll take way longer for me to be able to adjust my status. And for those who have never had to file paperwork with USCIS, I want to point out that I'll have to pay all the filing fees upfront upon submitting my applications to USCIS, although it usually takes 2+ years for them to process adjustment of status applications.
This total does not include travel costs, passport photo costs, or the costs of any medical exams I may have to go through. And this is JUST to be able to file for permanent residency. This is not for citizenship, as I'll have to be a permanent resident for some years before I qualify to file for citizenship under the current immigration laws.
I am forever grateful for your help and am so so appreciative of your support. Even if you're not able to donate, thank you for reading this through ! I ask that you share with your friends, family and coworkers and any allies! Blessings to you and yours!
With love and gratitude,
Viviana
