Let's help James

Hi, this fundraiser is for James Howard-Jones, a brother to me, family, friend and loved one to many of you. James is currently being treated for a significant head injury in the Bristol emergency department. I won't detail James's injury, but I will say he needs us now.

For those of you who don't know James well or haven't spoken to him recently, you might not know he's been working two jobs recently; his car had to be scrapped after spending his wages repairing it. He's been trying to keep his head above water without being forced into selling his motorbike. Motorbikes are, of course, James's pride and joy. Unfortunately, just before James's injury occurred, he had to put it up for sale. As his brother, I know how hard James works and the rough hand that life has thrown at him. Our mother passed away when he was just 22 years old; his biking friend Tom Winters passed away even earlier in a tragic accident. Along with this, James had been hospitalised before whilst out mountain biking. He's always worked hard and often hasn't been rewarded.

I'm telling you this because James puts on a brace face, doesn't complain and keeps working, thrill-seeking, bringing his friends together, so you wouldn't know how hard life has been at a glance for James. So I'm setting this gofundme up, hoping that when James recovers, he will be able to take it easy for a month or two, stop working so hard and enjoy life without stressing about his next rent payment.
