Chris and Ali Pilgrim

On January 21st, Chris was involved in a motorcycle accident. He sustained a broken clavicle and scapula on the left side, 5 broken ribs on the left side and 3 broken ribs on the right. The most serious concern is the 2 tears in his thoracic aorta and the contusions on both lungs. On January 23rd, they flew to Houston to be admitted to Herman Memorial hospital where they have a great team that will perform surgery to patch the tears in his aorta on January 24th. After that, they can concentrate on his lungs and then the broken clavicle and scapula. The Pilgrim family is overwhelmed by the love, support, and prayers that have poured out from family, friends and coworkers! They ask that you please continue to pray for Chris' healing, the surgeons, medical staff, and the family to make it thru this trying time. We have setup this go fund me page to help with expenses that the family is incurring. The hospital does not allow family to stay with their loved ones in ICU overnight so this only adds to their medical expenses as they are in Houston. Hr will be heading back into surgery tomorrow morning, 1-25-19, to plate the broken ribs on the left side so that his lungs will hopefully heal faster. He is still on a ventilator but is breathing on his own. He opens his eyes and responds to Ali. All in all, Ali is very pleased with the hospital, staff, and surgeons in Houston. She has also expressed her overwhelming gratitude for the prayers, love, support and donations from her friends and family! Thank you!
