Raven, The Future Medical Evangelist

Meet Raven, a second semester sophomore at Philander Smith College. She is pursuing a degree in Biology with plans on becoming an Obstetric Anesthesiologist. Raven has been 1 of 12 students chosen internationally to travel to the great plains of Guatemala for 6 weeks with Health Talents International as a Medical Evangelistic Team (MET) member. The Health Talents International Incorporation is built on improving the quality of health to those in need while, simultaneously, spreading the word of God. Considering Raven’s aspiration of becoming an Obstetric Anesthesiologist and her irrevocable devotion to Christ, being a MET member will afford her the opportunity to, both, learn about clinical settings alongside God fearing physicians and to be fruitful by bringing souls to Jesus. Being apart of the MET team will also allow her to learn all of the ins and outs on just how Health Talents International Incorporated works, gifting her the chance to participate in something beyond herself. Apart from clinical and spiritual advances, joining the MET Team in Guatemala would broaden her horizon as she would be able to develop an understanding for the culture and customs of the Guatemalan people which would better help her connect with them in future encounters to come. Given the honor of being apart of the MET Team will bring forth so many teachable moments and Raven is always eager to learn, however, the only thing standing in her way is the cost to attend.
