We're deeply saddened to share that Oscar passed away on New Year's Eve. His Mummy and Daddy never left his side during his 9 month battle and were with him to the end. We'll miss him more than words can say but we find solace in knowing he is now free from suffering and at peace.

In April 2023, 2-year-old Oscar was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer that begins in the stomach and can spread across the body. Chemo was started straight away at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, which has been fantastic.

In August, there was good news that the tumour in his stomach had reduced in size and there was no more cancer in his bones. After high-dose chemotherapy in September, he went on to have radiotherapy in November at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital; everything was moving in the right direction.

Unfortunately, a week into December, the family got the devastating news that there was more cancer in Oscar’s stomach, and it’d spread to his skull, spine, chest, pelvis, and throughout his bones again. Chemo has resumed, and the hope is high that this will help Oscar on the road to recovery once more.

Oscar is now 3 years old and is the strongest, bravest, and loveliest little boy, and his family and friends are beyond heartbroken that he’s going through this.
