Teaching Special Education in DC
Donation protected
I am currently a senior at Centre College in Danville, KY. I have recently been accepted into the DC Teaching Fellows via The New Teacher Project. With this opportunity I will be moving to DC during the summer, training for 8 weeks, and then will teach Special Education in a high-need public school while working towards my Teaching Licensure. This funding will help me pay for the licensure program, Praxis Tests, living expenses during the months I am training without an income, and early spending for classroom materials.
Accepting this offer without the money was a difficult decision to make, but I feel that it is my calling to work with children, specifically those that are underpriveleged and disadvantaged. It has been my passion to teach since I was a very young adolescent. Please help me make my passion a reality. Please help me as I help part of the next generation develop and receive an education they deserve.
