Support for Anthony's Family in Tough Times

Hello everyone. My name is Mikhaiel (27M) and I'm hoping to try to raise any additional funds that I can for my father's funeral. After a long battle in the hospital over the last year, we were hopeful to have him home in time for a big Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, his passing came suddenly on the first of this month.

My father, Anthony VanDuyne, first went into the hospital around mid-July of 2023. He was having G.I. issues and needed a procedure done to clear a blockage. Leading up to/after the surgery he became septic and was placed into a medically induced coma as he went into multi-organ failure and needed to be orally intubated due to developing double pneumonia. After being transitioned to a trache and rigorous PT, he seemed to be on the mend.

He was transferred to the rehab center on May 30th, but then brought back midday on the 31st under critical condition with respiratory failure. He then suddenly passed away June 1st at 7:02am at 58 years young.

Because he was in a coma for about 8 months, and was unable to properly fill out some documents on his own, he didn't get to finish taking care of the finances for the household which in turn drained the savings the family had. With no insurance and 1st and 3rd year of college coming up for two of my younger siblings, we are struggling to make ends meet and we don't know if we'll be able to scrape together enough funding to get him buried or cremated at this point.

Anthony VanDuyne is survived by his blended family, consisting of his fiance and 7 children (12M, 14M, 16M, 18M, 20F, 27M, 31F)
