Dear Friends, Family, and all champions of high quality education,
Tiny Friends Farm is coming to Lee County in 2022. This is my dream venture in education, bringing to fruition all you have known me to espouse professionally and personally:
• Delivering the very best in quality early childhood education; supporting the whole development of each child and honoring a genuine partnership with each family.
• Providing teachers the ideal environment in which to arrive each day with an open heart, an engaged mind, and teach with JOY. We offer early childhood teachers living wages, supportive working conditions, and a collaborative environment because we know engaging days spent with remarkable educators is one of the most meaningful gifts we can give young children.
• Sharing a community model for early childhood education that raises the bar and supplies families, teachers, student teachers, and the surrounding business community the vision for what “school” could and should look like for our youngest learners. We are committed to attracting community partners who also affect local early childhood education in meaningful ways.
• Intentionally fostering children’s development of self-regulation and empathy, traits researched as critical to later success. At Tiny Friends Farm, children will have daily opportunities to connect to the beauty of life all around them through interactions with plants and animals. Children’s behavior will be guided using the principles and strategies of the world renowned Conscious Discipline program.
Launching this remarkable dream with success takes a village. There are multiple ways you could support the opening of Tiny Friends Farm so that we are equipped to meet these goals and change the lives of children and their teachers from the very start!
One of these avenues is here on Go Fund Me, where you can wish our school well with the gift of funds. These funds will be specifically dedicated to the teaching staff, ensuring their full support during those early months of school start up. Your support of our high quality setting is tenderly appreciated and will start us off on the positive foot needed for years of meaningful impact in Lee County.
How many hours can you spare for a teacher? Every $25 gifted here directly supports an hour of teacher time invested to establish this amazing environment and provide a top education model for young children.
Other options to show your support include:
• directly gifting equipment and supplies from our Amazon wish list that will benefit the experience of the children and teachers and children from day one.
• investing in our mission. Please contact Jesyca Virnig , the CEO of Purpose SWFL, Inc. for an investor’s package. Purpose SWFL Inc is owned by Jesyca Virnig and doing business as Tiny Friends Farm.
• contributing to our larger projects with a donation to PEEPS, a 501(c)(3) founded by like-minded early childhood educators.
Who am I?
My name is Jesyca Russell Virnig. I have earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Arts in Education degree from Concordia University. I have devoted 26 years to developing top quality early childhood settings that respect children as individual learners, families as partners, and fully support teachers as the instrumental learners and guides they are. Building a strong and collaborative school culture is everything.
In recent years, I've learned to blend my love for children, my passion with early childhood education, and my personal affection for animals together and the results are truly touching. Never mind the children, there are parents I notice will regularly stop by my office to cuddle a critter! And the feedback regarding the positive influence this has on children is remarkable.
My undergrad degree included an accounting minor and I hold an Advanced Director's Credential with the State of Florida. I have taught and mentored other early childhood professionals for over 15 years. Alongside my devotion to quality for children, families, and teachers, I have always been complimented for my business skill and professionalism. I have a track record of running successful early childhood programming. Thank you for supporting Tiny Friends Farm, it is going to be a beautiful new stage in my career that impacts others for years to come.
