Coconut Condos Ohana Relief

Donation protected
8/25/2023: UPDATE: We are distributing the funds that you all have so graciously donated to our team members early next week. These will help to meet some immediate needs for those who have lost so much. This photo of our team dinner was taken exactly one year ago from today. It is with such fond memories that we recall our times together as an ohana and I can speak on behalf of our entire team, that we have been so overwhelmed with the generous love and support for our staff that lost homes, jobs or both. Mahalo nui loa from the bottom of our hearts!!

Many of you have asked how you can continue to support our family and Lahaina during this tragic time. It is our desire to stay and rebuild our community and our business in Lahaina. With only 5 rentable condos remaining in our inventory right now and an office/warehouse to rebuild, we have a challenge ahead of us, but we have been through hard things before and we will persevere. If it's your desire to help our small family business sustain through this next season, any donations from today forward will go to support maintaining our business until tourism returns to West Maui and we can begin growing our sweet company once again. Mahalo nui loa!

***Mahalo nui loa for all of your generous support!!! We are overwhelmed with gratitude!

Any donations exceeding $90,000 will be shared with the rest of our employees who have lost their jobs due to this disaster to help them move forward and bridge the gap to their next step. Thank you so much and please keep praying for Lahaina.

This has been an incredibly tragic and unbelievable few days for the community of Lahaina and our Coconut Condos ohana. So many of our friends have lost homes, businesses or both.

Our guests, employees and our family have been evacuated from their homes, our office/warehouse burned to the ground and 90% of our owners properties are gone. Aina Nalu and most of Puamana are ash. Several of our employees lost their homes and are displaced, including one whose husband is a local Lahaina firefighter and another who was born and raised in Lahaina and housed her multigenerational family.

Many of you have asked how you can help us through this difficult time. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING. We covet your prayers and know there is so much power in them. And if there is something more tangible you'd like to do, I'd ask that you consider donating to support our employees who lost their homes in the fire. While they thankfully have their health and loved ones, it is going to take a lot of time and effort to get back to any sort of normal. 100% of the funds donated will be offered to these employees as an emergency fund to assist them with immediate expenses in the meantime until they are able to rebuild.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for your thoughts, prayers and encouraging words you've been sending our way. We feel the support and are so very grateful. We trust that God is still control even if it’s hard to see that through the dust and ash. Lahaina is an incredibly strong community. We’ve come through hard times together before and we will persevere through this as well. Mahalo for your support.
