Amy's Fight

This is my friend. She answers to Amy, Aimers, Aim, Auntie, Nurse and friend (okay, there may be a few other names we aren't going to mention:) As a nurse, she has spent the last 20+ years helping others and now it's time that we help her.
Amy was diagnosed in January with Neuroendocrine cancer which is very rare, fast growing and aggressive . Although it can be treatable, since it's so rare, the oncologists can't give a firm prognosis or success rate. There was a setback last week when she learned that it may have spread to her lungs as well. It must be treated aggressively with both chemo and radiation. Radiation is daily for six weeks and three days of chemo every three weeks for 4-6 cycles.
The tumor in her breast was removed in January and although it was a rough recovery, she powered through it. Chemo started last week and radiation every day this week. We are 2 weeks into a 4-5 month aggressive treatment plan and it's already taking its toll. She needs our help to supplement her greatly reduced income during treatment . The money raised will go towards her medical and living expenses to get her through treatment and back on her feet. For those of us who know her well, asking for help is not something that comes easily for her.
Whether you give money, prayers or good thoughts, we appreiciate your kindness.
Peace and love,
Teresa and all of Amy's friends and supportors
