Steven David Tholen

January 14th around 4:43pm the unimaginable happened. Steven David Tholen unexpectedly lost his genuine life. Steve was helping his wife Anna, carrying tiles when he suddenly collapsed going into cardiac arrest. Anna, his beloved wife that he treasured so dearly looks back to see the unspeakable.

If only words could express the pain my heart is in for this family.. It truly is inexpressible of what they have had to go through. No one deserves to be put through so much pain in a blink of an eye. Steve was a king. Taken too soon is a understatement. Death is unfathomable, especially when it strikes someone with an unfinished life. Unexpected grief is horrid. I don’t believe the human mind is ever truly capable of understanding the sudden loss of a loved one. Death can take an unfinished life and make it finished. It’s unfair. It’s brutally and painfully unfair. There are so many unanswered questions about why bad things happen to good people.

What I’m asking for is hard, but not as hard as the unexpected loss of Steve. No wife deserves this, and this might be a way to help ease some of the outside burden, as Steve’s family takes time to process and begin to find the new normal that has been forced upon them.
