A Fresh Approach to Knife Crime, The Epidemic In Our Society. This unique programme set up by a friend and new author of two crime prevention books and fellow knife campaigner is urgently in need of your help and support to assist him in developing the same programme here.
THE HAY PATROLLERS is a project that has the cutting edge on rehabilitation, reducing juvenile gang related crime, creating new positive skills and much-needed employment for our young people. Connecting the troubled hearts and minds of the vulnerable youth of today's society — having already been tried and tested in Australia with results!
The Volunteered HAY Patrollers are centred on Uniting and Empowering the young multicultural youth to contribute to their own development by working in a team environment. The objective of the project is to:
* Rid every knife and or offensive weapon in our communities;
* Keep young people out of jail;
* Wipeout discrimination and racism within every community while Promoting HARMONY among parents/families and other Adults.
* Create future recognition for every team member to assist them in eventually gaining full-time paid employment;
* Increase awareness of drug & alcohol abuse and to teach other young people, especially in schools;
* Increase the awareness of truancy, and how it affects your learning needs later;
* Reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, and prevent the creation of juvenile gangs.
* Assist the elderly and those with a disability with our trusted, ‘HAY ASSIST, PROGRAMME’;
* Make aware of the importance of education and attending classes;
* Prevent bullying in schools and reduce depression and suicidal thoughts among young people;
The list goes on… but the crux of all of it is that ‘The HAY Patrollers,’ are neither a gang, security nor vigilantes; they are part-time casual community youth liaison officers, helping other professionals creating a crime-free community.
HOW WILL THE MONEY RAISED BE SPENT?
The money will be spent on the following:
* A newly created ‘Hay Patrollers,’ website so donors can see how their money as been spent;

* Money to conduct various classroom training programmes and purchase of a computer, projector and screen;
* Renting/running of an office/kiosk for all the activities of the programme;

* Salaries for part-time experience coordinators.
All monies raised will be recorded and audited regularly to ensure that we are not over budgeting ourselves.

Please read Brian Montgomery's story so far:
Having spent most of my early childhood growing up on one of the worse deprived council estates in South East London to a single parent, joining gangs had become a trend for many, including me. We didn't carry knives or guns though, we just used
our fist and shook hands after a good scrap. What I did remember though was how I had to survive, in extreme cold weathers. The drugs, alcohol and solvent abuse, not forgetting dipping the bins for food. But the most important aspect for me though, and anybody roughing the streets as a youngster, was able to defend yourself against the prowlers, perverts and paedophiles. My never forgotten past has never stopped me though from helping others.
Having spent over 30 years and thousands of my own money on various NOT-FOR-PROFIT programmes in my spare time, due to lack of support from various police forces, local government and a few NGO’s in the countries I’ve lived in, there comes a time when you need that financial help and that time is now.
Since I have been unemployed these last 17 months, I have not only turned to writing but I have also setup a crime prevention consulting business, http://www.dhconsulting.me.uk not only to create employment for myself but also hand out receipts for businesses that want to donate too and who may want to claim back on the taxes.
With your kind help in getting this programme up and running and making it a success, I am sure then the local governments, the mayor’s office and the police will then come on board and help fund the programme further.
Having completed my second crime prevention fiction novel, suitable for both Adults and Young Adults: Degsy Hay, A Juvenile Redeemed, Book 1 in the series, and Book 2: Degsy Hay, The Hay Patrollers, these can both be purchased on Amazon/Kindle, Waterstones, Foyles and Barns & Noble. I have also promised that 50% of all royalties from both books will also go towards the programme. Please support this project in any way you can. I am hoping we can reach our target by April 2019.
Much appreciated Brian Montgomery.
