St. Thomas CSI Church, Houston- Building Project!
Tax deductible
Welcome to our page! St. Thomas CSI Church of Greater Houston is a pastorate of the Church of South India (CSI) in North America. Your help towards completing construction of our new church building is most appreciated!
The CSI in North America exists to announce, embody, and demonstrate the Lordship of Jesus Christ in North America while adhering to the traditions and values of the church in South India. Our congregation is excited to advance this mission in the Houston area.
By God’s grace, our congregation has grown since our original founding in 1988 from 22 families to over 130 families today. With the increased size of our congregation and the age of our current church, we had decided to build a new facility on a larger property. Through the generosity of our congregation and a bank loan, we have been able to secure 75% of the funds required so far.
During construction, we have faced financial challenges resulting from the COVID19 pandemic, and the unprecedented material cost increases due to supply chain shortages and rising inflation. The unexpected cost increases totaled almost $1,000,000, and to finish construction - we need your help.
We need your prayers and support as we strive to complete the construction of our new church. We hope to complete this project at the earliest, so that we may continue to walk faithfully to wherever Jesus calls us. Thank you so much for your time, prayers, and donations.
