Hello, my name is Ja’Niece and this is my son, Darius. I have a domestic violence restraining order on my childs father. Even though my dvro was granted, my request for supervised visitation and exchanges was denied so I had to co parent with my abuser. On 7/29 at a court mandated exchange in the parking lot of our local police station, my childs father stood in my car door and would not let me leave. he is VERY angry that I got a restraining order on him & wants me to drop it because “im ruining his life” He was 20 minutes late to our exchange and he was texting me erratic so I decided to record before he walked up to my car. He threatened my life multiple times and made it very clear he doesn’t care about getting trouble. (*TRIGGER WARNING* you can hear the video on my tiktok @dontkrymiariiver) I immediately sent the video to the police and they told me it takes 48-72 hours for the DA to decide if they will press charges or not . After hearing this video, they DID NOT go pick up my son from him!!!!! even though you can clearly hear how angry his dad is with me and he said multiple times hes not afraid of jail and doesnt care about our sons mental health because he was yelling crazy infront of him. The police asked me if they called my childs father, would he cooperate, i said NO! He is angry at me and knows where I live so i would not feel safe and the cop still called him !!!!! He put my life in danger with that little phone call and just advised that I get an attorney. The courts & police have let me down so my plan is to move ASAP because he knows where I live and I dont even feel safe sleeping at night. Any donation would be so greatly appreciated. I just want to live at peace. I left my abuser & did everything right to protect me and my son but hes still tormenting us. Anything will help, thank you <3
