In Loving Memory of Shelly Walsh
Walking the Wild Atlantic Way for the Irish Cancer Society

My name is Mary Walsh, and I’m embarking on a 6-day charity walk along the Wild Atlantic Way in memory of my beloved daughter, Shelly. Shelly was a bright, beautiful 9-year-old with a heart full of love and courage. She was diagnosed with leukemia and bravely fought through it all. Despite her strength and the care she received, we lost her in January 2024.

Our hearts are shattered, but in the midst of our grief, we were supported by the incredible Irish Cancer Society. They were there for Shelly and our family every step of the way, offering not just medical guidance but compassion and understanding when we needed it most. We could never repay the comfort they brought us during such an unimaginable time, but we can honor Shelly’s memory and help others facing similar battles.

I am walking the Wild Atlantic Way, aiming to raise €10,000 to support the Irish Cancer Society’s life-saving work. Every step is for Shelly and all the children and families who continue to fight cancer.

If you can, please contribute and help us give hope to those who need it. No donation is too small—your support can make a world of difference.

Thank you for keeping Shelly’s spirit alive in your thoughts and for helping us in this mission.
