Mia's Education Fund

Donation protected
On December 19, my sister Elizabeth died unexpectedly, 3 days before her 47th birthday. She was a single mom, leaving behind her 15 year old daughter, Mia. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you consider donating to Mia's future educational expenses. As our family navigates her loss, we are prioritizing stability for Mia, who will stay in the UK with my mother and her husband, Jack. Mia is an excellent student with a bright future. Thank you for your support.

Growing up, Elizabeth had tons of energy. She was in theatre, choir, was a cheerleader, a gymnast and on drill team. She was a competitive swimmer, played basketball and softball. She was good at everything she did -- a straight A student.

As an adult, she went back to school as a new mom and became a nurse in the US, which she loved. In 2013, she moved with Mia and our mother to Wales, where she re-established herself to practice nursing. She also practiced and sang with a band. She had a beautiful singing voice.

Elizabeth loved animals. In Wales, she would walk the hills with wild horses and photograph them. They trusted her enough to let her get close enough to touch them.

But of everything in her life, she was most proud of her daughter. She loved her Mia with her whole heart and soul. We will best remember and celebrate Elizabeth by loving and supporting Mia.

The family will hold a celebration of life for Elizabeth in the future and will share details when we know them.
