Fight For Brittney

As many of you may know, our beloved Brittney Bowman is currently looking fear in the face. She is currently searching for the strength, courage, and confidence to conquer the life changing challenge that has been thrown her way. On Friday, February 8, 2019, Brittney received a call that changed her entire world in a matter of minutes. A call informing her that after a week of multiple testing and biopsies, they can now confirm and diagnose her with Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (ICD). Now for those of you who don’t know what that is, IDC is an aggressive form of breast cancer that begins growing in a milk duct and invades the fibrous and/or fatty tissue of the breast. Which at the age of 31, is very rare. In Brittney’s case, it has already spread to her lymph nodes and surrounding tissue giving her no other option then to start treatment immediately.

If you know Brittney, you know that she is truly a remarkable young woman who is known for making such a positive impact on all of those who cross her path in this life. The amount of care and love she has for everyone around her is only outshined by the amount of love she has for her beautiful 3 year old son. Her bright smile and energetic personality are just a few traits that make her so beyond special. Brittney is immensely strong and refuses to let this challenge break her.

Being a single mother, Brittney has always been very independent. She has never been one to ask for help and that is why I decided to create this Fundraiser for my beautiful friend. Brittney will soon be facing upcoming surgeries and an accumulated course of chemotherapy in which will force her to stop working for a period of time. On top of that there will be a range of medical bills as well as other expensive that she and her family should not have to stress about at this time. We are asking for your help in covering these costs so that Brittney can focus on fighting this battle with all she has while still being there for her little boy.

Family isn’t defined only by last names or blood, it’s defined by commitment and love. It means showing up when they need you the most and being there when the world seems to be falling apart before their eyes. Any donation would be beyond helpful, every cent counts and is appreciated more than words can convey. Please keep Brittney and her family in your thoughts and prayers through this tremendously tough time. Please show Brittney that in this family, no one fights alone.
