Kirstin's Recovery Fund

Over a year ago on the morning of March 15, 2019 Kirstin was in a car accident on the way to work.  She went through south and north bound traffic (8 lanes) getting hit twice and finally landing in the fence on the other side of the freeway.  Her airbags did not deploy and she was tossed around inside the car hitting her head several times.  When she was found she was unconscious and on the passenger side floor.   She was released from the hospital with cuts and bruises and no mention to watch for signs of concussion.  Two CT scans, physical therapy, and months later we were still trying to figure out why she was not improving.  She finally got an MRI showing that she had a defuse axonal injury across the white matter of her brain.  She was sent to a neurologist and an neuropsychologist.  Finally, her neurologist sent her to the Amen Clinic founded by Dr. Amen (who wrote Change Your Brain, Change Your Life).  The subsequent brain scans and treatment prescribed is NOT covered by her insurance.  Furthermore she has not been able to work and Disability has turned her down because they say she will recover.  We hope this treatment will heal her brain, but don't have the funds to cover the series of 3D brain scans and treatment.  The costs for this is over $5000 along with the need to travel to the Bay Area for treatment incurring travel and hotel stay costs.  If you find it in your heart and pocketbook to help this kindhearted young lady, we could really use the help.  Thank you in advance!
