Support Lee Bilodeau After Life Altering Accident

Donation protected
3 Days after Lee's 56th birthday & at the end of a perfect vacation with his wife Christie, an unthinkable accident occurred. Lee fell approximately 12-14 feet, broke his neck in 5 places, and severely damaged his spinal cord. They were 2.5 hours from home when Lee was taken from the scene to be transported by helicopter back to Medford OR. Christie loaded up their belongings & drove alone not knowing Lee's condition only to find out when she regained cell service that they were unable to return him home due to a wildfire & visibility issues from smoke in the area.

The next day, Lee arrived by airplane at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford OR. The extent of his injuries was unknown, but surgery was next. Lee's spine was fused from C4 to T3 & the Doctor confirmed that he would have permanent paralysis from the upper chest down. Lee remained on a ventilator for the next week, contracted pneumonia & was fighting hard for his life.

A week after the accident the ventilator was removed & Lee was told of his prognosis.

Since that time the struggles have continued, and Lee continues to fight for his life. He contracted pneumonia again, was put back on the ventilator, underwent a tracheotomy and had a feeding tube placed.

Before this tragic event, saying Lee was a busy guy would be an understatement. He loves camping, riding ATV’s, barbecuing, spending time with his family, friends & grandkids and riding his motorcycle. He is a hard worker who loves music and takes care of his home, his wife, his friends & family fiercely with generosity & a lot of love.

The friends & family of Lee & Christie are asking for your help in supporting them during this time. The road ahead is long, but we're grateful there is a road. It will include months of hospitalization, rehabilitation, ADA modifications to their home & astronomical medical expenses just to name a few.

Any contributions towards helping to ease their financial strain are greatly appreciated. Most of all, please keep them in your most positive thoughts & prayers. Please share Lee’s story with your friends and family in an effort to support them through this life-changing event.
