Alison is kind, has a huge heart, will do anything at all to make you smile and now its time to repay all the favours she has done for everyone else over the years. Unfortunately last year she has a fall and hurt her knee on the way to hospital to see her son James who was in intensive care due to a bad accident at soccer. As most people will be aware Alison spent months with James at home helping him repair his own leg after this accident which led to her using all of her sick and annual leave. She plodded through the many hospital trips back and forward to the city and got James well even whilst having her own injury to deal with. She has spent months icing her knee after work, stopped doing the exercise she was loving as it was too painful, and waited to get herself fixed! At the beginning of February she finally had the much needed surgery on her knee and faces a long road ahead in her own rehabilitation. Her knee needs to be strapped in a certain position for weeks and then after six weeks she can start to try exercise it and get some physio etc. Everyone knows Alison never stops so being stuck I the same spot hasn’t been easy for ther these last few weeks! People so far have been very good in calling and cheering her up; and she is stubborn in accepting any help however, she is going to be off work until at least Term 2 which means she won’t get any pay until May. This is a long time for anyone not to be paid and with the cost of living rising all the time it would be great if you could even spare a few dollars to get the family through this difficult time.
