Boo the Cat needs surgery

Hi my name is Amanda and anyone who knows me know Boo has been my pal since I got him 6 years ago. I rescued his mom who was found on the street with a litter of kittens and ended up keeping one of the babies- Boo. Since 2021 he has had recurrent bladder issues and was diagnosed with FLUTD (feline urinary tract disease) which has been an ongoing issue. Last Sunday he ended up in the ER because he had a full urinary block- which can be fatal especially in male cats. Thankfully we got him there in time. He was catheterized and hospitalized for two days and has been in and out of the vet all week as he is having difficulty recovering, accumulating costly vet bills. I have exhausted my care credit line and was not approved for more credit. After meeting with the surgeon, this issue will only keep reoccurring and will cause him more pain and make it more difficult to urinate and each time he is blocked/ needs catherization he is making the issue progressively worse and more painful. The surgeon says if he under goes a perineal urethrostomy , he will be able to have a positive prognosis and prevent these painful urinary blocks from reoccurring. The surgery estimate is $7,500, and requires a $4,400 deposit. The sooner this gets done the better the outcome will be.
Please help Boo get this life changing surgery, so can can live a long and healthy life!
