Gomez Family Fund

Please help us raise funds for our sweet friends the Gomez Family. Rosa (mom) has been through so much! Her eldest daughter was diagnosed with a rare type of breast cancer a couple of years ago. This is almost unheard of in adolescence. The Mayo Clinic is involved in the research surrounding this type of cancer. Rosa had to take care of Alondra herself. Rosa is a US citizen, but her husband was not. Rosa’s husband went back to Mexico to get a green card legally. Unfortunately, they would not let him back in the United States, because he was honest and admitted that he had crossed the border more than once throughout his life. This left Rosa in the United States by herself with her two daughters and to top it off dealing with a cancer diagnosis in her oldest.
Thankfully, her oldest daughter made it into remission, but she still needs to be seen every 6 months. Here is where this story turns from bad to worse. Rosa’s youngest daughter was just diagnosed with cancer. She has a tumor on her kidney and nodules in her lung. It is considered stage 4. To top it off, Rosa’s mobile home just flooded and it is in dire need of repairs. An entire wall will need to be removed. This may seem like a horror story, but it doesn’t end here. Rosa’s car quit working this week. She had to take an Uber to get her youngest to the hospital this week when she developed a fever in the middle of the night.
Please consider donating to this cause. This family is the most deserving family and they need help! Any donation is appreciated. We need to raise funds for an attorney to fight to get Rosa’s husband home so that he can be present to help Rosa fight for their daughter’s life. We also need to get their home and car fixed. Additionally, remaining funds will be used so that Rosa can focus on her daughter and her medical care during this tragic time.
