Help Me Bring My Baby Home!

This is my daughter Malicka. She currently lives in a group home in Westland. Due to a critical staffing shortage, the home is closing. I am bringing her back home to live with me. She lived with me the first 18 years of her life, and because I had no assistance with her care, I made the tough decision to place her in a group home when she turned 18. She is severely multiply impaired, non vocal, and confined to a wheelchair. I am looking for a home to suit her needs as my current home is difficult to access due to the wheelchair. The homes I am looking at require a hefty security deposit and first-month rent (1 1/2 month security deposit, plus first-month rent). I refuse to allow her to go to a long-term care facility. Malicka is vibrant loves life, and while she cannot form words, she is very vocal and gets her point across well! These funds will assist in the move, purchase a ramp, if needed, and help with the adjustment of coming back home to live with me.
It costs an estimated $233,610 to raise a child to age 17, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Autism Speaks, an autism advocacy organization, estimates the cost to raise a child with autism or an intellectual disability is $1.4 to $2.4 million.
