Let's Help Jamie❤️

Hey Everyone,

My name is April and I have started this Go Fund Me to help our girl Jamie. We need to get her thru the next couple months of bills so she can focus on her health!

In early October, Jamie had a routine physical and during her exam had some abdominal pain so they sent her for a CT. Days later, pretty much on her birthday, she found out that her tumors that they had been tracking since 2016 had more than doubled in size in just a short period of time since her last scan 6 months ago. Jamie was directed to immediately get labs done and they confirmed her tumors were now functioning and producing high levels of the stress hormone called cortisol. Jamie seen a surgeon on October 27th who stated he believed these tumors to be malignant (won’t 100% know until biopsy) but they are contained to just her left adrenal gland so he said it’s stage one, she will not know until post-op if chemo is necessary. Jamie has had less than a month to financially prepare for surgery which is set for Nov 20th. She will have an Adrenalectomy and it is unknown if it will be a laparoscopic surgery which is what they hope to do but due to her previous abdominal surgeries and scar tissue as well as the size of tumors and them being next to several vital organs it’s a 50% chance they will convert to an open surgery. Even if she has a laparoscopic surgery she will miss 2 weeks of work for recovery and then is on restrictions for another 2 weeks.

Jamie works in a high behavioral mental health field and can’t return to work with any restrictions. At minimum Jamie will miss one full month of work and unfortunately she has no short term disability or paid leave. Jamie has been sick the last 3 weeks and used her PTO for that so she has no PTO available either.

Jamie is a single mom and the sole provider for her household! She has her house and car payment, among other bills to pay and does it all on her own, without help! This is quite a blow to handle in such a short period of time and she needs our help! If you know Jamie, you know she is an independent girl so letting me do this was a pretty hard decision! Jamie’s a strong girl who never asks for help but due to this situation is in need! Let's show some support and get her and the boys thru the next couple of months of bills and groceries!
