Andrew is a very loving and outgoing child..anyone who meets him will remember him for a lifetime! Even though he has been through a lot he still keeps a smile on his face. Since birth Andrew has been hospitalized over 50 times and has had around 20 surgeries..he has been diagnosed with stage 2 caudal regression syndrome which causes bowel and bladder issues,ectopic kidney can cause kidney failure if he gets a bad enough infection, thrombocytopenia or low platelets which is dangerous if he gets cut he may have trouble clotting, leukopenia this increases the risk of infection, ADHD, and Autism. Unfortunately Andrew has been hospitalized 5 times just since the summer of 2015 with 3 just this year(2016). We are scheduled to see a pediatric surgeon on March 8,2016 to get a cecotomy tube placed to help with his constipation. This issues has gotten so bad he is getting a UTI and blood infection everytime he is gettting constipated along with a fever which is about once a week. Andrew does not have the muscles to push the stool out and also has motility issues. We are scheduled to go to Levine childrens hospital in May to see a motility specialist to see about long term options. In June we will see the urologist that has been following him from birth to see about surgery options for his bladder. We are asking for your love and prayers to get us through this difficult time.
