Recovering from the break-in and robbery

As you may already know, Cat Club recently experienced a robbery. The perpetrator (aka P.O.S.) entered through the back, breaking through not one, but two doors. He (it’s obvious it’s a man from the camera footage) ransacked the office, where he stole everything of value he could find – including all of the cash amounting to many thousands of dollars. He then destroyed the registers. After putting forth so much physical effort he decided beverages were in order and stole as much alcohol as he could from the liquor room.

Ever since COVID, Cat Club has been struggling to stay afloat. Attendance is down and they’ve had to cut the shifts of staff to be able to keep the doors open. And now this.

As I sure you will agree, Cat Club is more than just a bar/club. It’s a home away from home for many of us. A community that we depend on; one we know we can turn to and it will be there for us. So many of our most valued and significant relationships have started there. It’s always been so much more than ‘just a bar’ and Cat Club needs our help now. So many of you stepped up, in so many ways, during the shutdown to help keep things going. They never imagined they’d need to ask for our help and support again. Yet here they find themselves, needing our help again so that they can continue to be there for us.

All funds raised will go directly to Cat Club to help repair the damage and replace what has been lost.
