It's the LAST DAY!!! I'll be writing the check this afternoon!
For 25 years, she skippered your art boat at Penderlea, Rocky Point, Atkinson, Long Creek, and Burgaw Elementary. She guided you onstage and off at Pender, Topsail, Trask, and the Royal Forest of Dean College. Whether she’s Ms. Whiteside, Captain Roach, or Rosh, this spunky lady has spent most of our lives inspiring us, pushing us, and shaping us into who we are today. Though she shows no sign of slowing down, she is changing directions. She plans to divide her time between firing up a kick-butt community theater in Burgaw and exploring her lifelong passion for drawing and illustration. For this second quest, she’d love to live in England for 4 months each year, working in a small studio in Devon or Cornwall. This has been a dream of hers since she taught in England in 2003.
So let’s help her make it happen! With this SECRET SURPRISE DON'T-YOU-DARE-TELL-HER fundraiser, we’d like to cover her ticket to the UK and the first 4 months’ rent on her new studio. If you are able to attend her “Graduation Party” on May 21, I’m encouraging you to forgo the gifties (the last thing she needs is more things) and pitch a few dollars toward making her dream a reality. If you can’t make it in person, here’s a lovely, easy way to say thank you. We’ll make up a big card with all our names so she’ll know who it’s from. No donations are too small—if we all make the effort, we can reach the goal. All contributions need to be made by May 15!
