Her Fight is Our Fight!

Hi, my name is Marcia Jacobi. I am the Administrator at Iowa Park Healthcare Center. For nearly eight years now, I have worked with Erika Styles. She is our Business Office Manager. I respect her tremendously as an employee and a person. She is always willing to help out wherever help is needed. And she truly loves our residents at the Nursing Home.
Erika has had a lot of health problems since her last baby was born four years ago. We almost lost her once. Now she has come up with another life-threatening medical crisis. She is going to require brain surgery at University of Texas South West Medical Center. This is a very delicate and dangerous operation. A whole team of some of the country's best brain surgeons will be handling her case. If this surgery is successful -as we pray it will be - then her life is saved and the urgency is gone. She will require a few MRIs every year for the rest of her life but she will be able to lead a normal life.
But the surgeons have been very honest with her. She might not survive the surgery and if, for some reason, the surgery isn't successful, then her condition could kill her at any time and without notice. I am being very blunt here because these are the facts.
Erika and her husband have three children. One has already made her a grandmother, one is a Senior in high school and the youngest starts school next year. Erika isn't even 40 years old yet. The world needs Erika nearly as much as her family does!
The last thing she needs to worry about right now are the costs for traveling, staying in Dallas multiple nights for follow up appointments and for her family to have a place to stay while she is recovering from surgery. She has had to take a lot of time off of work as she has been ill many days.
As her co-workers here at Iowa Park Healthcare Center rally around to support her, we ask of others who are willing and able to give some donation to help this family in about the only tangible way that we can. Please make a donation that is comfortable for you. And to also commit to pray for them for courage, strength, hope and health as they go through this together. As we all go through it together. Her fight is our fight!
And please be aware that no one from our group will be contacting you via personal messages or Facebook or any other means to request gift cards or additional money. Those are scammers and they prey on people with good hearts who are just trying to help out a friend in need. Please report any social media you get that attempts to convince you that they are connected with this campaign and are asking for more donations. If you want to give securely through PayPal or Venmo, you may contact myself (Marcia Jacobi) through GoFundMe.
Please consider helping this brave, young woman and pray for the best possible outcome!
Thank you and many blessings,
Marcia Jacobi
