Vietnam Orphanages
Donation protected
Hi, my name’s Caroline.
In 2019 my sister Lucy and I travelled to Vietnam and visited two orphanages. The children are taken care by nuns which are solely supported through donations.
Thien Phuoc Mai (Mái Ấm Thiện Phước Nhân Ái) located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is an orphanage where children are born with physical defects due to the chemical ‘Agent Orange’ from the Vietnam war in 1955. This has been passed down through genetics now.
Cơ sở bảo trợ xã hội Hoa Hồng is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is another orphanage where all children are welcome.
Both require care 24 hours a day as these children are born in poverty. Vietnam has no Government funding and no free health care. Here they have a home where they have the basic needs such as food, water, clothing, sleep and shelter.
I would like to raise £1000 and I will donate £1000 too. I am also hosting a charity event at CC NAILS & co where prizes will be won to 6 winners and all money raised is contributed to the pot.
Together we can make the world a better place. Just before my sister passed away in April 2022, she chose to donate to charities of her choice and we also funded towards a house built for poor families in Vietnam that was completed in September 2022. I’d like to follow in her footsteps and leave a mark by trying to make a small difference to a bigger change.
In loving memory of Lucy Tran Huyen Tuong.
