On July 30th Melissa was taken to the hospital for respiratory issues. turns out she was Covid positive. since that day Melissa has been intubated twice and lost all of her strength and unable to walk or talk and lost all of her muscles in her body. She was in the hospital for a month and is now currently at Brooks Rehab for physical therapy and speech therapy. Physical therapy is going ok still not walking like normal only taking steps and needing help doing that. Her esophagus and vocal chords are damaged so there will be a surgery soon for her to have her voice back. In the days of Melissa being intubated she has lost both of her parents on August 8th & August 10th not being able to say her goodbyes to them has been upsetting for her as she still has to come home and finish all the remains of the loss of her parents.

2 months later she is finally coming home next week from brooks rehab for future care at home with a feeding tube and oxygen. She is still needing lots of care as she will be going from dr to dr in her care at home. We are asking that if any one could please help Randy and Melissa make it through this difficult time. Every little bit helps, and we know Randy and his family will greatly appreciate the thoughtfulness of every donation to help donation go towards the medical expenses that have accumulated in the past 2 months.
