Nelson and Vilma's College Fund

Hola from the UMD Alternative Break members who went to Guatemala in January 2014 and 2015! During our service experience, we cleaned and painted the school buildings, fence, and playgrounds of the school in Los Andes Nature Reserve. The man who runs and teaches at this school, Nelson, is on his way to achieving his college degree in Education. It is rare for people in this community to attend college, let alone graduate from high school. Nelson is extremely hard-working, inspiring, and motivating. Nelson had to take a break from college due to monetary set backs. He is just ONE school year away from finishing his degree. Vilma, Nelson's sister, is the first female from Los Andes to attend college. She is a huge role model in Los Andes and helps advance education in the community. She is pursuing her degree in Business and a year and a half away from finishing! Please help us raise this money to help Vilma and Nelson finish their degrees and reach their academic, occupational, and personal goals!
