Read the update
My name is Chaim, my 16 yr old daughter Chana,(who is number 11 out of 13 children), for the past couple of years has been in and out of mental institutions and hospitals for self harm and suicide attempts. She has been diagnosed with bipolar, manic depression, high anxiety, low social skills and ADHD. Chana has been suffering in school for most of her life. This all became highlited in 9th grade grade when the cutting and the suicide attemps started. We have tried many schools to help educate her. In the middle of 10th grade she stopped attending school because her anxiety was making it very difficult for her to cope. She would constantly have panic attacks. After consulting with many therapists and psychiatrist it was highly recommended that Chana needed to be in a residential treatment center. Where she can get an education as well as all the thearpy she needs. The cost of this is over 400 dollars per day. Insurance companies are denying coverage of her stay. At the same time the public school system is also refusing to pay . In order to keep Chana in the program, while we are attempting to overturn the insurance denial and the public schools refusuel, we have to pay for the treatment center in full. Meanwhile the cost to keep her there, and to pay the attorneys for all the appeals keep growing.and growing .This process should take about another two months to complete. So far she has been there for 6 weeks and is showing signs of improvement. If they send her home now I fear things will be worst than before. Deep down inside chana is a beautiful, smart young lady who just wants to get better. Please help with whatever you can afford, there is no amount to small or to large.
Thank You So Much!
