YEMEN APPEAL 2020

The crisis in Yemen is getting bad, 53% of their population is on the brink of starvation and 1.1 million have cholera. Save a child today. 

Every TEN MINUTES a child under five is dying of preventable causes and nearly 2 million Yemeni children are severely malnourished.

Food parcel (£100):
Provides enough food for one family for a whole month.

Feed a child for 1 year (£150):
Provides a child in Yemen with nutritious school meals for the academic year.

Medical clinic for 1 day (£300):
Covers the running of a fully-equipped mobile medical clinic for a whole day.

Share in a Deep Water Well (£500):
Provide two shares in a deep water well, providing communities with clean, safe water on their doorstep.

Already one of the most water-scarce countries in the world, the destruction of so much of the country’s infrastructure has left a massive 16 million people without access to safe water and sanitation.

Described by the UN as ‘The worst man-made humanitarian crisis of our time’, the war in Yemen has turned a poor country into a humanitarian catastrophe.

We take for granted the clean water we get everyday. Please donate generously to help our brothers and sisters in Yemen. The prophet [saw] tells us Sadaqah extinguishes sins like water extinguishes fire!

To do this myself and 3 others will be cycling 175km each in one day to raise money for those suffering in Yemen. (Delayed due to covid-19 pandemic)

Shares in a deep water well x2 - £1000
Provides shares in constructing or rehabilitating a deep water well, providing communities with clean, safe water and sanitation.



Run Medical clinic for a whole day - £350
Your support will help us run the Al-Kawd Health Centre in Abyan, which serves up to 90 people a day, mainly children. In addition to medical consultations, treatment, medicines and emergency care, it also provides nutrition and immunisation services to children, pregnant women and new mothers, as well as a midwife.

Feed two children for a year - £300.  
Provides 2 children with nutritious meal throughout the academic year                                                                                             

Emergency food parcels x2 - £200
A typical food pack includes: rice, sugar, cooking oil, lentils, flour and milk.
Each food parcel will provide enough food for one family for a whole month.



Bakery fund, producing 7000 loaves of bread, feeding 3500 people - £250
To combat the growing risk of famine and hunger, two new bread factories are being set up in Yemen, one in the north in the city of Ma’rib and the other in the south in  Aden.
