The Manhattan Cafe Employee Survival Fund

The mandatory closure of non-essential businesses in the wake of COVID-19 containment efforts has rendered the employees of our beloved Manhattan Cafe out of a job. Our community looks to comforting havens such as The Manhattan, and has come to view it's employees more as friends/family than simply someone behind the bar serving up a drink. The Manhattan Cafe is an integral part of what makes Athens the unique place we call home, and the love that our clientele show us on a regular basis echos that sentiment. This crisis is uncharted territory for most of us, and we are taking things day by day. While we try to remain positive, the harsh reality that we are out of work in an industry that relies on the presence and monetary contributions of our patrons makes this situation all that more daunting. It is with the most humble of hearts that we ask you to help support our staff through these trying times. Any amount you are able to contribute will help keep our staff financially afloat until we are able to open our doors once more. We are hopeful that this situation is contained promptly, and that we can all return to our regular routine as soon as possible. In the interim, we appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing your familiar faces when this has all passed.
