Helping Lindsay

Hello, I am a friend of Lindsay’s and as you all know or some of you know, back in July she went in for a routine surgery that is done every day without issues. Unfortunately during her surgery there was some complications. Resulting in her having to have a catheter since her surgery. Her recent diagnosis…. Vesicovaginal fistula.. not sure what it is.. google will tell you. And in her last post she states “I’m tired. I’m exhausted. Stressed. Mentally exhausted. Statistic from 2022..

In the United States, estimates of vesicovaginal fistula formation range from less than 0.5 percent after simple hysterectomy to 10 percent after radical hysterectomy.

I took that from her fb page. As you can tell this has been very emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting on her. And her husband and her daughter have health issues going on during all this too. I personally have been hit with hard times and complications during my cancer and know exactly how exhausting it can b. So I want to help Lindsey any way I can. So I am asking if we can all come together and help ease her mind a little bit by helping her with some medical bills, her medical supplies such as Depends, utilities, food, gas, or just a simple date night for them to relax and not worry. She hasn’t been able to work since July and with the cost of things these days we are all struggling to survive, let alone having health issues on top of it all.

She will see her doc again soon and there is a discussion of a possible surgery coming up, in hopes to repair the fistulas. This is also going to leave her unable to work for a while longer. So please, if you’re able to help in any way it is much much appreciated. If you can’t that’s totally understandable, but please share this so we can get a little something for her. Thank you.

***UPDATE AS IF 11/3/23

SURGERY is scheduled for 12/14/23 and due to this being a VERY RARE surgery, the insurance company will not be covering the cost of this surgery. She has to sign a legal paper stating she is responsible for all costs for surgery. On top of that, her employment will end in December right after her surgery. So she is losing her job on top of everything else going on. She is trying to get Disability but as well all know, this process can take months or even longer to get approved. So any help at all is very much appreciated at this time!! THANK YOU!
