Educating children in Uganda

Last year Ajibu community established a community school with the sole goal of bringing education closer to the vulnerable groups, especially children and women. Last year the community closed with 30 children and this year we are aiming at helping 60 children.

Our school will also work as a community development center where women, youths and teachers will receive different lessons and programs for community enhancement. Angela will also be involved with community development days , where we will offer life lessons to adults, ranging from public health, personal management, financial literacy , parenting etc. Angela is qualified in many areas but these are a few examples. Life Coach, Cognitive behavioural Therapist Children and young adults Therapist, Bereavement Therapist, Relationship and family Therapist.

At the moment, we have one child who’s uniquely abled and we are glad to see the school helping children like him. He has so many aspirations and he wants to be a doctor.

We shall also be helping 200+ learners in primary schools to improve their literacy and grades in school. We are going to start by collaborating with two local schools to improve learning outcomes for the students aged 13-18.

Your support and help would be so appreciated. The cost of sending a child to school for one term is £61 (they are 3 terms per school year), a £183 will pay for a years education. This will include the children will receive a nutritious meal, a school uniform, learning resources, and we can support the child with its welfare.
