Help Turkey & Syria

On Tuesday 7th February we at Securicorp received the devastating phone call from a very good friend living in Turkey. The realisation of the devastation has crippled us and we have decided to ask for donations to voluntarily take over to Turkey.

Firstly we are very happy to say that our appeal has been a great success and the donations are flooding in.

So much so we have had to change our plans, initially we intended driving a couple of vans to Turkey, however with the generosity of people we have now had to obtain the use of a heavy goods vehicle from PRD based down in Darlington. Due to legislation and restrictions at the moment PRD are unable to drive into Turkey, so we are heading to Milan in Italy where a Turkish transport company will meet us and drive the lorry into Turkey where Securicorp will distribute all donations to the affected cities.

We aim to have the lorry packed and ready to leave Newton Aycliffe on Friday 17th February.

Although the donations have been amazing we have been made aware that some of the charities in Turkey are also asking for financial help. We do understand that the cost of living is on the rise at the moment so any additional help would be greatly appreciated.
