Sharon's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
In June of 2022, Sharon went to get a standard check for severe abdominal pain and left with colon cancer diagnosis and other areas, no surgical options were available. The chapter we are beginning on November 1st will have both traditional cancer treatments and a full program of integrative methods aimed to get her immune system back on track.
——
She has been treated in a traditional manner with chemotherapy and radiation and although the cancer has been held at bay, her immune system has struggled to keep pace. With an integrative approach, we have noticed improvements to her energy levels. From the beginning of treatments the goal has been to maintain a healthy diet and take targeted supplements. However, despite catching it as soon as possible, incorporating a holistic/integrative approach, and doing everything that doctors suggested at each step of the process, a decision has been made to further her care through a formal combined program.
This year and a half has taken a massive toll on not only Sharon, but all the people who love her deeply. Sharon is such a kind-hearted woman, an old soul, a generous and forgiving mother of 4, and a tried and true friend to many. After over 30 years in the nursing industry, she has touched the lives of thousands of people on a daily basis. Sharon has always been - and continues to be - an optimistic and radiantly positive human. She is an incredibly hard worker, despite actively receiving treatments and has managed to balance managing two separate departments. There’s never been a time in her life that she wasn’t busy investing in her family and her career.
As we are entering this new phase of care, it is largely not covered by insurance. The treatments will be done by a private clinic (Brio-Medical Cancer Clinic) in Phoenix AZ. Her treatment program will officially start November 1st. Due to our inability to maintain our typical work hours/responsibilities, our overall income will be drastically reduced, but it is a step we felt we desperately need to take.
Any help you are able to give will be directly applied to treatment costs and make this chapter as tolerable as possible for Sharon.
