73 year old man needs help
Donation protected
My name is Ken. I retired and built a home in Honduras, where I have lived for 7 years. I usually return to the states for a couple of months to unite with family and friends, but my sole source of income is is my social security checks. This works fine in Honduras. But I have received a medical diagnosis of amyloidosis, which is a rare disease that is treated through strong applications of chemo therapy. There is no cure, the purpose of the treatments is to extend the number of years I can live. I have no car and I have been dependent on family and friends for my hospital visits. I am living in a 1 bedroom apartment with 4 other adults and a baby just turned 1 year old. My family is wonderful but do not have abundant financial resources. I must return to Honduras in November. My treatments will probably last a year, if successful. The prices of housing, gas, food, etc. are not favorable for a person in need of medical care, transportation, improved housing, and good quality, supportive food. I know this is a legidament way to raise funds, but I can't help feeling like a beggar. I am embarrased, but I can't think of a way out of this without help. Otherwise I may have to do without and live my last year with as much grace as possible. Thank you, everyone!
