Emergency Veterinary Bills
Donation protected
Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to consider helping. Our dog Loki was hit by a car on Thursday (4/20) around 7:30pm. Our sister Samantha Edwards is a vet tech and gave him a good look over before Heather and I rushed him to Morgantown, WV to the Cheat Lake 24 Hour Animal Hospital. We are in for a BIG hit financially. We are reaching out to anyone that may be able to help, but we are also setting up this GoFundMe to help raise the money for his bills. Even if you can't donate please share this. Anything is more than appreciated.
Loki was incredibly lucky all things considered. Thankfully other than some road rash, only his back legs were injured. That being said, his injuries are pretty severe. He had to have surgery on both hind legs. He had a dislocated hip on his right hind leg and severe breaks in his left hind femur. They did a FHO on the dislocated hip to repair it and did pins and a external fixation on the left leg to try to save it. Amputation of the left leg at that point was not an option because of the dislocation, but could still be a possibility in the coming weeks. It all depends on how Loki heals right now. The doctors are hopeful for a good outcome either way. We have a long road infront of us but I know we will get through it. Positive thoughts, good vibes, and prayers for our brave boy are always welcomed. Even if you can't donate we ask that you take a moment to share this link. Any help is greatly appreciated more than you know. As for now, Loki is resting and recovering but he gets to come home Monday (4/24). He will need round the clock care when he gets home. He will also have several rechecks over the next little while to see how things are healing and to see if amputation will be needed. We are still not out of the woods but we can finally take a second to breath. Thank you again for any and all support you are able to give.
