Wire Gabby’s way to FRC World’s Comp in Houston
Donation protected
Gabby, a senior at Overhills High School, is apart of her school’s FIRST robotics team, FRC 7443 the Overhills Jag-wires (bit.ly/ohsjagwires7443 ). They are the only team in Harnett County and are already making history. It is their first year which qualifies them to compete as a rookie team and they have already accomplished so much. They have been awarded Rookie All Star, the Entrepreneurship Award, the Hardhat Safety Award and have been recognized throughout the state by FIRST robotics and other FRC teams. After competeing at UNC Asheville, UNC Pembroke and Campbell University, they have been granted the opportunity to represent North Carolina in Houston, Texas as the only rookie team. However, with such accomplishment and drive, the issue arises with finances. We hope to raise this money to allow the chance to be apart of a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a competition founded on the appreciation of community and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math). The donations will be used to pay for hotels, transportation and food throughout the trip, April 16-21. We greatly appreciate any donation, big or small, and thank you for taking the time to contribute to this educational journey.
