Getting Doyaa'bi to TN.
Donation protected
My name is Derek Bowman.I am medically retired out of the US Army. I served for 10 years. Five as a 13B or Field Artillery and five as an EOD Technician. Or the "Bomb Squad" for the Army. I was in a vehicle that was struck by an IED and then electrocuted by village power lines in Afghanistan. I have two Traumatic Brain Injuries. I am trying to fill a void I have in my life. Since I got out I have felt like I have no purpose. I Retired as a SSG or E6. I found an animal when I went on a retreat through the EOD Warrior Foundation recently to Apache Springs Ranch in AZ who fills that void. While there I met a horse I named Doyaa'bi. It means "Big Mountain" in Shoshoni. I am trying to raise the money to pay for the horse to be brought to East TN. This way I can be with an animal that has helped change my life. It is a 1350 mile trip or a little over 20 hours. I am working with multiple friends to make this happen. Any donation received is a blessing in making this happen and truly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a blessed day. *Update The trip will be happening the first week of April. After many requests and talking to friends. We have decided to shoot for this amount. It will only help provide for Doyaa'bi in the future. Thank you all again so much!
