Help my family get into a home

2017 - moved when our landlord sold our duplex and they were going to owner occupy our unit. 

2017 - moved out of the homeless shelter and into low income housing  

2018 - moved out of low income housing due to harassment by neighbors including smearing shit on our doorstep, vandalizing my van, attempting to break our apartment windows, and assaulting my kids - during Fall finals at UAA 

2019 - moved out of apartment due to mold growth (caused by drain pipe broken in the 2018 earthquake) that couldn’t be remediated while we lived there - at the beginning of the Fall semester at UAA

2021 - moving due to rent increase - mid-Fall semester at UAA

This will be our 6th move in 5/6 years. 

I’m So Sick of Moving. 

I just want a home. 

I just want a home.

A home where people don’t shoot at us. 

A home where people don’t maliciously vandalize our vehicle or home. 

A home where neighbors don’t attempt to assault my children. 

A home WITHOUT MOLD. 

A home where I don’t have another sketchy landlord. 

A home where my neighbors don’t complain about my autistic son and threaten to call the cops because if his blowouts. 

A home where we don’t have to move every year. 

A home where I can actually finish my damn degree without having to move every damn year. 

We’ve never had a home of our own. 

I just want a home for my kids and me.

It’s really hard on my family not having a home of our own. It’s really hard having to move every year since my dad went to prison for abusing us. It’s really hard on my autistic baby brother for us to be moving every year. It’s hard on my mom who can’t finish her college degree so she can support us. It’s hard on me because I just want to be a kid. I don’t want to feel unsafe in a shelter where people fight and get drunk and beat on doors all night. 

With this money, I am hoping we can put a down payment on a forever home for my family. Anything will help. Please help my family!!
