75 and Up a Tree

I am 75 years old. For 18 years, I worked a job travelling 120 miles a night, seven days a week in the early morning delivering five major newspapers to the stores, hotels, and outside machines in Nogales, Arizona.
Last July, I had emergency surgery for bleeding ulcers, followed by two more surgical procedures over the next three months. Because I was a contractor, I lost my job before I was even out of the hospital. For several months, I survived alone at home with a feeding tube for nourishment.
Since July, my three siblings and my son in Germany have been carrying the financial burden of my recovery. I receive only $434 a month in Social Security, so their burden was great.
I am much recovered now and desperately want to begin another job. I need to feel useful. I have applied to Uber and Lyft and have had my background check cleared and am up to the point where they need proof of a vehicle inspection. I have a 2014 car, but after years of servicing small towns with newspapers, my car needs some attention and repairs.
I think $2,000 would give me enough to have the necessary repairs on the car done and give my relatives a little relief from the pressures I have put upon them. If there is anyone out there who also knows the value of work at any age, perhaps you will find it in your heart to help me on my way. I have pretty much reached the end of my rope and will be grateful forever for a chance at living again. Thank you!
