75 Miles for Better Days Cafe
Donation protected
So I am super excited to say I will be walking around the Isle of Wight again the full 75miles of beautiful coastline. Some of you may know I did this last year for Alzheimer’s Society and raised a whopping £1300. Since recovering from the three days of non stop walking last September I have been looking for the the next amazing cause and then along The Better Days Cafe, an incredible place which is nothing less then inspiring.
Better Days is a Cafe which promotes inclusion for everyone. Staffed by volunteers, supporting people with mental health issues and learning disabilities. They also provide walk in mental health advice, sign posting and mental health first aid and are arranging support groups/workshops for teenagers, including self harm and suicide prevention and awareness.
We have all experienced isolation especially since COVID, some still experiencing this everyday, the Volunteers and comforting surroundings welcomes you and provides a safe and warm welcome back into the community.
This Cafe is a not for profit community hub of which welcomes every body. And in my view an asset and vital service not only for Ventnor but the Isle of Wight.
However being a not for profit Cafe, every penny counts so please help me help them to continue to help our community ♥️
The walk will take place across 3 days starting on the 6th September finishing on the 8th September and will be documented and shared to The Better Days Cafe Facebook page
