SUPPORT FOR LAURA “SHORTY” SAVINO
Laura Savino and I met while working together over 30 years ago. We became, and have remained to this day, very close loyal friends. Upon meeting Laura I, for obvious reasons, dubbed her “Shorty” and have seldom used her given name since then. We have shared many laughs and tears over the course of these past three decades. I am writing this today to ask for your help in giving back to someone who has extended herself time after time for others personally and professionally.
As I am sure most of you know, Laura began a professional organizing business, Task Management Solutions, over 20 years ago. She has been extremely active in networking circles and has established herself as a trustworthy, hardworking, competent businesswoman. Laura’s business acumen has benefitted many corporate and lay people alike. This year, Laura rebranded her business, www.InfoSearchers.com, and has been in the process of launching it Nationwide as a Professional Organizer, Solutions Strategist and Productivity Coach. She has also spent the past few years organizing what turned out to be a phenomenal 40th Class Reunion for Maria Regina High School earlier this month with the help of a wonderful team of volunteers.
Laura has constantly gone out of her way to help people in both her professional and private life. I have never known Laura to turn a blind eye to anyone who has needed her help. Last week Laura had an unfortunate, severe accident. She sustained physical injuries that will take months to heal and will require countless hours of rehabilitation. Obviously she is unable to perform the physical aspects of her business and is without any source of income while the business is on hold. Laura’s monthly bills and medical bills are continuing to mount and the financial worries are adding to her stress of an already devastating situation. She is also in need of having to relocate her primary residence and business shortly, which is also adding to her financial burden and stress.
I know Laura is too proud to ask for your help, but I cannot stand hearing the pain in her voice and sit idly by doing nothing. Therefore, I am asking all of you to please consider donating whatever you are able to this GoFundMe account in order to help my longtime friend “Shorty” and your classmate, friend and business associate in her time of need. Let’s not let her down.
Thank You,
Christine King
